International Design Expeditions pairs the world's most innovative new designers with real world challenges.

Ide has chosen “CERAMIC & FOOD ROUTE” as its inaugural theme to reflect its position as one of the most pressing issues of our time. IDE works for sustainable concerns by addressing transmission and local know-how via creative and culture-driven design, placing Design force at the center of Humanity. With its cross-disciplinary approach, the program is open to promising designers who will conceive, manage and complete a specific project presented by the local SME confronting real life situations on the ground. An experienced committee of experts is in place to drive the expeditions. Local and International exhibitions and events create interaction and dialogue between international participants. Printed books tells the story of each expedition.
